Tommy's Travel Troubles

Greetings from Tucson.  We decided to get away from the snow and cold for a little bit.  My carry-on, that has many thousands of flying miles, wouldn't fit into the overhead, so it had to be checked at the gate.  Of course that has my CPAP, meds, camera, and other necessary and valuable things.  The flight attendant assured me that the bag was guaranteed to get on the flight and would not be a problem.  I'm sure you figured out by now that the bag was not at the carousel.

So the baggage folks bounce me around a bit, and finally one agent calls the gate where the plane came in, the plane was still there.  I really suspected that the steps they were going through was so much window dressing designed more to make me feel better about their efforts than to actually find the bag, but they find the bag in the baggage hold of the plane, and get it to me within minutes.   Whodda thunk it?

I talked to a biker who said that  the riding is great here except 2 months during the year when it is like riding face first into a 2500 Watt hair dryer.

The rest of the trip is going well.   We rented a Lincoln Clown Car, and spent the first night between Phoenix and Tuscon at the Ak-Chin Casino and won a bit and are now in Tucson.  I'll write more as I have access and time.

Boy are you lucky!  It took Crystal and Dave two days to find their luggage when they went to Oklahoma. We hope you have a great trip and that your traveling experience is better on the way back. Enjoy the sunshine!

Sounds like typical traveling problems, they always lost Carl suit cases when traveling.  We had more trips from the airlines to our house with the luggage we got to be friends with the delivery guy.  Sounds like it is nice and warm out there, please send some this way.  Have a great time!
